Gabriel the Archangel…an announcer of Good News

On July 20, the Women’s Bible Study Group and other CCA members gave out free water and Popsicles at the Farmer’s Market in Whitehall. The music, camaraderie, and conversation were a joy and encouragement to us and to a community rocked by a recent mine closure.

Part of our CCA family assisting with yard cleanup at a trailer park…one of several service components at our deanery’s recent Next Steps conference in Bozeman, MT on June 7-8-9, 2019.
Malachi: A Love That Never Lets go – is the topic of Women’s Bible Study beginning the week of September 9!
The eight part study by Lisa Harper focuses on God’s mercy and love that NEVER ENDS.  On our worst day, God DOESN’T WALK AWAY from us.  And His love for us is not determined by OUR PERFORMANCE. No matter how many times we mess up, god loves (and never leaves) broken people.  “I the LORD do not change.” –Malachi 3:6

Our inaugural Feast Day was enjoyed by over 50 people of all ages on Monday, June 24, 2019.  That day was the feast day of the Nativity (birth) of St. John the Baptist.  It is one of the major feast days of the Anglican Church.  We celebrated with Family Prayer, a meal of BBQ ribs and all of the fixin’s.  Great fellowship and an extra treat…roses for all of the ladies contributed by one of our guests!  Stay tuned for future Feast Days as we progress throughout the Church year.

Our latest Feast Day on July 29…Feast of Lazarus, Mary and Martha of Bethany…Charlie reads the Scripture, and Fr. Brian leads family prayer before the delicious brisket meal. It was a wonderful way to meet new people and welcome guests.
